Welcome to Pop!. Protecting your privacy is at the heart of our design. This policy details how we treat your data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Apple and Google security standards.
1. Data Controller
The Pop! application is developed and managed by Aimeric Krol, independent developer. For any legal request, data access or deletion, the Data Protection Officer (DPO) can be contacted at: support@pop-poll.com.
2. Collected Data
We apply the minimization principle: we only collect what is necessary.
A. Data you provide
- Identity: Email address (authentication), Display name, Unique identifier (@username).
- User Content (UGC): Profile pictures, poll titles, vote options, illustrative images (uploaded by you), chat messages.
- Interactions: Your votes (e.g., "Yes", "No", points allocation), your friends list, your group memberships.
B. Technical and Automatic Data
- Device identifiers: Push Tokens (FCM/APNs) for sending notifications.
- Metadata: Connection logs, action timestamps (poll creation, modification).
- Files: Images stored on our secure servers (avatars, poll images).
C. Artificial Intelligence Features
Pop! integrates an artificial intelligence service (Google Gemini) to suggest vote option ideas. Data sent to this service is strictly limited to the theme of your search (e.g., type of activity) and the city manually indicated. No personal data, user identifier or precise geolocation is shared with this service.
Important Note: We do not collect your precise geolocation, nor your phone contacts (address book) without your explicit consent.
3. Protection of Minors (13+)
The Pop! application is not intended for children under 13.
- We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
- If we learn that a user is under 13, we will immediately delete their account and all associated data.
- For users between 13 and 15 (depending on local legislation), use of the application requires the authorization of a parental authority holder.
- A parent or guardian can request the deletion of their child's account by contacting us at support@pop-poll.com.
4. Purpose of Processing
Your data is processed based on the execution of the contract (use of the App) and your consent:
- Service Operation: Allowing you to create polls, vote and chat.
- Communication: Notifying you when a friend invites you or a result is available.
- Security: Detecting abusive behavior, spam or illegal content.
- Support: Responding to your assistance requests.
We do not sell any personal data to third parties. We do not do targeted advertising.
5. Granular Deletion & Right to be Forgotten
In accordance with Google Play and App Store requirements, and for your comfort, Pop! allows precise management of your data:
A. Specific Content Deletion (Without deleting the account)
You keep full control. You can individually delete:
- A poll: If you are the creator, you can delete a poll. This permanently erases the poll, its options, its images and all associated votes from the database.
- A message: You can delete your own messages in the chat. They will be permanently erased for all participants.
- A group: You can delete a group you created or leave it.
- A friend: You can remove a friend from your list at any time.
B. Permanent Account Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data instantly from the application:
- Go to your Profile.
- Tap the gear icon (Settings).
- Go to "Manage Account".
- Tap "Delete Account" (Red Zone).
Consequences: This action is irreversible. Your profile, votes, messages, images and friendship links will be erased from our servers (Supabase).
6. Moderation & Security
Pop! encourages benevolent interactions. However, we apply a zero tolerance policy towards abusive content.
- Reporting: Any user can report content (poll, image, chat) or behavior via the support address.
- Blocking: We reserve the right to ban any user not respecting our Terms (harassment, hate speech, pornography, violence).
- Technical Security: Your data is stored in Europe via Supabase. Access is protected by strict security rules (Row Level Security).
7. Your Rights (GDPR)
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Right of access and portability: Obtain a copy of your data.
- Right to rectification: Modify your profile directly in the app.
- Right to object: Refuse certain processing (e.g., disable notifications).
- Right to erasure: See section 5.
